Additionally, Mr. Dart earned his degree of Photographic Craftsman from the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) by teaching this style of photography to other professionals throughout New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Some of the greatest children’s portraits might be classified as an “activity” portrait with “kids” doing what they enjoy most. Playing with a favorite toy, reading a book or having a “tea party” are just some possibilities. Including a family heirloom rocking chair or tricycle might be a great way to have a child following in their parents’ (or grandparents’) footsteps. We would be glad to work with you to create meaningful portraits.

While we think all of our portraits are special, sometimes the sessions don’t fit in “traditional” categories. From sports to celebrity speakers, to landscape and artistic photographs, our photographic style covers all sorts of areas.

Sometimes the perception abounds that one must travel “far and wide” to obtain the “perfect vista” for a photograph. This gallery contains photos which were all made in a 35 miles radius of the studio. In this modern day realm of instant digital, there are also numerous files here made with a 4x5 view camera in black and white.

During more than two weeks of photography in North Carolina, I made enough quality images that I felt warranted a separate gallery. I was motivated not only by working with a mentor and long time friend but the natural beauty of the area and the work of other photographers whose work I saw there.

Most of the photos in the “Art” Gallery as well as the “Carolina” Gallery would be more indicative of what most photographers would classify as “Fine Art.” However, that implies numbered and signed prints in a limited edition series. I could certainly do that but I do not have a stock of already matted and framed images that are priced accordingly. For those interested in copies of photos in these galleries, a quote would be given on an individual basis according to the frame, mat and size of the print ordered.
